We look forward to a fantastic 2022
We did it!!!! After months of lockdown few times since early 2020, finally we got our freedom back, I have no words to describe how I feel now.
Without a doubt, the lockdown has a big impact to the wedding industry for almost two years, but it has come to the end now. We are very pleased to inform that we look forward to work with all clients that booked us in late 2021 and 2022. Our team is fully vaccinated and will do whatever we can to protect ourselves and who we will meet.
Since all covid restrictions of wedding are lifted, we are glad that we have been receiving enquiries of our live stream services and wedding videography packages in the last couple of weeks. Owing to some confirmed weddings of 2021 were postponed to 2022, we regret to inform that the number of weekends available in 2022 are limited. To avoid disappointment, please do not hesitate to give us a shout about the date you need us, we will get back to you as quick as we can.
Looking forward to be a part of your special day.
Wedding live stream in 2022
I hope everyone has been safe and healthy during New South Wales lockdown.
As New South Wales will soon achieve 70% vaccination rate, I believe wedding restrictions will be eased by the end of 2021 and we can have more freedom and back into our business. My guess is that the number of guests in weddings would be limited initially and might take months to lift all restrictions; on the other hand, the border would also take months to open to interstates and foreign countries, should your guests may not attend due to Covid restrictions, wedding live stream would be a good investment to get your family and friends to virtually participate your special day.
We are ready to work with you and be a part of your wedding. All our team members will be fully vaccinated by October this year. We still have spots for wedding videography and live stream in 2022, please do not hesitate to contact us for booking.
I look forward to working with you.
Stay safe!!
Online Marketing Video Productions Sydney - Sparkling Dental (Part 1)
Another online marketing video project was completed in mid 2020.
This was a very interesting marketing campaign for Sparkling Dental in Neutral Bay Sydney. My client would like to have a make-up done to their website and replaced all multimedia contents. At the initial stage, few consultations were conducted with the client so to understand their business and what they would like to achieve from the videos, and I also gave them briefs of what can be done. Consultations play an important part of every marketing project, after few discussions we came up with a campaign of producing six online videos, one about the overall services offered and 5 about the special dental services.
Today I would like to talk about the challenges of making the main marketing video.
One of the challenges of this production was time. Filming involved two Saturdays when there’s no patient appointments and every single staff available. The schedule of every shot was also well planned so each staff could come just right before their performance. It was also our privilege to have a family patients to be our talents, who only had two hours for us to get every single shots done. As said, owing to the tight timeframe, a shot list was created in advance so myself and the Director of Photography (DOP) could set up and get the shots done without any delay.
Another challenge was taking interview for each staff, we aimed to get every speech naturally in front of the camera and captured takes as less as possible, therefore we used a teleprompter for each staff, so they did not need to memorise scripts.
More to tell about this project, such as behind the scene and the approach, story telling etc…stay tuned.
The outcome was fantastic and most importantly my client was very happy about my work. Here’s the final video.
A human-centric corporate film project (part I)
Brief
In March 2019, I was working on a project for We-ef ANZ for their 25th anniversary. I was in partnership with Sydney-based photographer Jackie Chan. The brief was simple - we were asked to create a series of short films to celebrate this milestone and great achievement. This was part of their 25th anniversary marketing campaign and the clips were widely used on their social media platform and AILA International Festival of Landscape Architecture 2019. We have filmed 9 videos in total and each film heroes a key staff from the company.
Challenge
The biggest challenge was the tight time frame and the geographic barriers. We-ef ANZ is based in Melbourne so Jackie and I needed to travel there with our filming gears (i.e. cameras, lighting, audio recorders, etc) for filming. (Thank you we didn’t have a pandemic back then!) We only had 3 days to complete literally everything, from reece to meet-and-greet to produce to film. Apart from these, the execution of the concept is particularly challenging. We have 9 x individual storyboards for each staff, we need to make sure each one is unique and special but also maintaining the theme consistently and and cohesively throughout all the videos.
Approach
We-ef is such a great client. We established a very collaborative relationship from the outset and trust was built soon after the project was started. When trust and collaboration go hand in hand, you know a great project is going to be born. From concept development to storyboarding to filming, timing was super tight but yet a smooth-sailing process. We took a very human centric approach to this project. When we filmed the staff, as much as we want to spend more time and get to know everyone better, we only had a ridiculously short limited time (Again, 3 days for 9x staff including travelling time!) for each person. There were sleepless nights at the airbnb places banging our heads against our wall to come up with the storyboards, framing, scheduling etc etc. It really was challenging but I dare say this is also the most enjoyable project that I’ve worked at for a very long time.
Results
Each film brings out the emotions and true story of every staff, which honestly it’s quite rare and unexpected to be seen in a corporate film. And guys, that’s the true power of strong storytelling.
Wedding Videography in Hunter Valley
During the past years, I filmed numbers of weddings in Hunter Valley.
Travelling to Hunter Valley from Sydney is about two and a half hours. For long hours weddings, I would stay there a night before so I did not need to rush and avoid busy traffic in the morning. For late weddings, I would stay in the area overnight and return to Sydney the next day.
Why I love doing weddings in Hunter? Beautiful, it’s absolutely beautiful!! As a videographer (I believe photographers agree with me too), it’s such a stunning location to get stunning footage and photos. There are farms, vineyards, botanic gardens, charm venues etc. Because of these, every time I go to Hunter, I always have my drone ready, I reckon nothing is better than a drone to get some beautiful landscape footage.
Here are some wedding videos filmed at Hunter Valley, enjoy.
