Capturing the Beauty of a Traditional Vietnamese Wedding in Sydney

Love, family, and tradition came together in a spectacular celebration as we had the honor of filming a breathtaking traditional Vietnamese wedding in Sydney. From the intimate two-team ceremonies in the morning to the grand reception at The Highline Venue in Bankstown, every moment was filled with cultural richness, emotional connections, and timeless beauty.

A Morning of Tradition and Unity

The day began with two separate ceremonies, one at the bride’s house and another at the groom’s house. This time-honored tradition symbolizes the union of two families, an integral part of Vietnamese culture.

At the bride’s home, the groom’s family arrived in a formal procession, carrying beautifully arranged gifts covered in red cloth—representing prosperity and good fortune. The two families exchanged words of gratitude and well wishes, followed by the presentation of the bride, who was elegantly dressed in a stunning red áo dài, the traditional Vietnamese wedding attire.

Meanwhile, at the groom’s home, his family prepared a warm welcome. After receiving the blessings from the bride’s family, the newlyweds returned to the groom’s house, where the official wedding ceremony took place in the front yard. Surrounded by family and loved ones, the couple honored their ancestors in a sacred tea ceremony, offering prayers and receiving blessings from elders.

A Grand Celebration at The Highline Venue

After the heartfelt morning ceremonies, it was time to celebrate! The reception took place at The Highline Venue in Bankstown, one of Sydney’s most sought-after wedding venues. With its elegant chandeliers, luxurious decor, and grand ballroom, the venue set the perfect scene for an unforgettable night.

The bride made her grand entrance in a dazzling white gown, accompanied by the groom in a classic tuxedo. The night was filled with emotional speeches, traditional dances, and an exquisite multi-course Vietnamese banquet. From the energetic lion dance performance to the joyous moments on the dance floor, every detail was a testament to love, culture, and celebration.

As Sydney wedding videographers, we strive to capture not just the visuals but the emotions and cultural significance of each wedding. This traditional Vietnamese wedding was a beautiful reminder of how videography preserves the essence of these once-in-a-lifetime moments. Crown Sydney Wedding Photography and Videography

Throwing back this beautiful video of S&R taken place Crown Sydney back in 2022.

The day started with bride and groom preparations in the hotel rooms respectively, and then heading to a church for the wedding ceremony, followed by photo shoot around the city such as the iconic Queen Victoria Building (QVB).

The reception was the highlight of the day. The guests were enjoying the canapé, the performances of magicians and dancers before the couple’s formal entrance. More performances were happened after the entrance, for instance, pole dancing, live band, drummers for traditional dance.

It was a sweet and beautiful wedding. I was so pleased I could be part of it.

Gunner's Barracks wedding live stream

I streamed a wedding in one of my favourite wedding at Gunner’s Barrack a couple of weeks ago. I did not know why I felt quite nervous about this live stream, not just because I had to film this wedding at the same time, but also about the internet connectivity, weather, lighting etc.

I was fortunate enough filming another wedding a day before this live stream, therefore I had a chance to think about where I put myself and most importantly - internet connection. Every time I scouted the venue I would use a mobile app to check the speed of internet. I was relieved I could get really good speed at Gunners, one box ticked.

On the day I reached the venue 2 hours prior to set up my gear. I connected my own microphone on celebrant’s hand held microphone, set up 3 tripods and one gimbal. About 20 minutes before the live stream kicked off, I was so happy everything went smoothly. After the wedding ceremony, the couple received some positive feedback from their family and friends overseas straight away. I was so relieved and satisfied.

In the future, if you need wedding live stream at Gunners Barrack, please feel free to contact me.

Centennial Parklands Weddings | Videography | Photography | Live stream

I am very pleased to share with you this beautiful wedding of Chai and Rahul. It was taken place at Centennial Parklands back in November 2021.

I appreciated the trust from this beautiful couple for booking a customised package of videography plus photography as well as live stream.

The wedding was a mix of Indian traditional and civilised. On the day 4 cameras were used to cover the entire wedding. The live stream went smoothly owing to the super fast internet connection speed. Since the parkland did not provide power, I had to bring a portable power supply to power up the broadcasting gear.

I am thrilled to share with you the highlight of the wedding.
