Gunner's Barracks wedding live stream
I streamed a wedding in one of my favourite wedding at Gunner’s Barrack a couple of weeks ago. I did not know why I felt quite nervous about this live stream, not just because I had to film this wedding at the same time, but also about the internet connectivity, weather, lighting etc.
I was fortunate enough filming another wedding a day before this live stream, therefore I had a chance to think about where I put myself and most importantly - internet connection. Every time I scouted the venue I would use a mobile app to check the speed of internet. I was relieved I could get really good speed at Gunners, one box ticked.
On the day I reached the venue 2 hours prior to set up my gear. I connected my own microphone on celebrant’s hand held microphone, set up 3 tripods and one gimbal. About 20 minutes before the live stream kicked off, I was so happy everything went smoothly. After the wedding ceremony, the couple received some positive feedback from their family and friends overseas straight away. I was so relieved and satisfied.
In the future, if you need wedding live stream at Gunners Barrack, please feel free to contact me.
Wedding live stream at The Crypt St Mary's Cathedral Sydney
We were thrilled to perform the first wedding live stream after the final lockdown here in Sydney.
The wedding was taken place at The Crypt St Mary’s Cathedral, one of most beautiful venues I’ve ever been to. Likewise, I scouted the location two weeks before to check the strength of 4G reception, and work out the ideal position of our cameras and live stream gears.
One of the challenges was that the 4G reception in The Crypt was not sufficient enough for YouTube live stream. Therefore we had two options to resolve the issue,
setting up the production desk right outside The Crypt so to get the best 4G signal, however this could create another issue of the wireless video signal from the cameras could not transmitted through the thick and big stones
put the 4G modem outside, and run a long cable to the production desk inside.
After discussion with the venue manager, we went for option 2.
On the day we arrived two hours before the ceremony commenced to set up. Two professionals worked on the day, one managed the cameras and the other monitored the entired live stream. However one thing we found that was the echo effect of The Crypt which made us difficult to get the audio clean and clear, to resolve the issue, we attached our wireless microphones to the lectern, the groom, and the Father who hosted the ceremony. It worked perfectly.
We were pleased that things went smoothly and the broadcast went live 20 minutes prior to the bride walking down the aisle. More than 60 people joined the live to witness this beautiful wedding.
We look forward to a fantastic 2022
We did it!!!! After months of lockdown few times since early 2020, finally we got our freedom back, I have no words to describe how I feel now.
Without a doubt, the lockdown has a big impact to the wedding industry for almost two years, but it has come to the end now. We are very pleased to inform that we look forward to work with all clients that booked us in late 2021 and 2022. Our team is fully vaccinated and will do whatever we can to protect ourselves and who we will meet.
Since all covid restrictions of wedding are lifted, we are glad that we have been receiving enquiries of our live stream services and wedding videography packages in the last couple of weeks. Owing to some confirmed weddings of 2021 were postponed to 2022, we regret to inform that the number of weekends available in 2022 are limited. To avoid disappointment, please do not hesitate to give us a shout about the date you need us, we will get back to you as quick as we can.
Looking forward to be a part of your special day.
Centennial Park Paperbark Grove Weddings | Live stream Wedding Ceremony
Over the weekend we had a lovely live stream wedding event at Centennial Park. Our team has conducted a visit a week beforehand to ensure we have all the tools we need for the day. Unlike most venues, there’s no power supply at the park therefore we needed to hire a portable battery to ensure we have enough power supply for the day. The power supply is one the most single important for us. We need it basically for literally everything - camera, computers, audio and video mixer etc etc. When we first found out there’s no power supply from the park it posted a great challenge to us. Luckily the portable battery we hired performed well.
As far as preparation work goes, we also need to confirm the internet speed at the park. Our crew went there to test 4G speed as well. Based on the test result, it suggested we could stream YouTube at a higher bitrate. The good thing about using YouTube is that it has the better image quality and easier to operate, most importantly playback is available straight away after the stream ends.
During the day, we have two cameras set up. We have one staff to control and manage the panels and everything else and another staff to manage cameras, monitor audio, switch angles. The event was successfully live-streamed to the UK, where the couples’ grandparents are located. We are not just the team doing a livestream for you, we help uniting you and your family.
Live Stream for a Samoan Wedding at Liverpool Sydney
Our crew was busy for a Samoan wedding event over the weekend. Our team was excited as this is the very time that we've participated in a Samoan wedding. With all the live stream weddings that we've ever filmed, this is the most challenging one as we need to cover both the ceremony and reception for the entire day. To give you a rough timing, we basically needed to do a live show for over 8 hours non-stop.
The biggest challenge will no doubt be the internet set up. We needed to ensure it was stable for that many hours at the 2 different locations. The church ceremony was held at the Samoan Methodist Church and it was over 4 hours. We broadcasted the whole process on YouTube live. Then at night, we had the reception at the Eden Venues in Liverpool.
For events on this scale, we normally set up 3x cameras just to make sure we will capture every angle and all tearful moments for both the couple and the audience. Knowing it was going to be a full-day live stream event, we have conducted a recce before the big day. We ran the test for the network bandwidth and confirmed the placement of the camera set up for both locations. We prep well and we aim to provide the best service and highest visual quality for our clients.
Fun facts - 35gb data was used on the day! If you are curious how much is 35gb, it’s roughly allowing you to browse the internet for around 400 hours, to stream 6,300 songs or to watch 70 hours of standard-definition video. I know! It's a lot of data but it's all worth it! Nothing warms our heart like seeing everyone is enjoying the day, especially for those joining us virtually on their screens. And that's how I define a successful Livestream event!
